Polyurethane Coating

Description

Diamond Brite Interior Polyurethane is an ultra-clear and durable finish formulated to protect interior wood surfaces from nicks, scratches, spills, and stains. Polyurethane enhances the natural wood grain with a beautiful-clear finish. This product is intended for interior use only. It is excellent to be used on wood surfaces including floors, doors, furniture and cabinets. Applicable surfaces include bare, stained, or previously varnished or finished wood.

This series of product provides a hard, durable, and non-yellowing finish that is perfect as a final coat over any varnish or stain. This product is NOT recommended to be used for exterior use.

For best results, it is best to apply 2 light coats. It is recommended to allow 6-8 hours between coats (NOT recommended for use on hot/humid days). The first coat acts as a primer/sealer, and the second coat becomes the finish coat. WARNING, applying one heavy coat will drastically increase the dry time! Depending upon temperature and humidity, the dry time could increase to multiple days when applying a single heavy coat. For the paint to dry as expected the minimum air temperature needs to be 60 degrees or greater. NEVER thin this product. Use this product as is, out of the can. The product has superior durability and protects against spills and stains. This product will average 300 square feet of coverage per gallon, and it takes up to 6-8 hours to recoat.

Note: All Diamond Brite products are lead-free. All Diamond Brite products in this series are formulated to brush or roll without thinning the paint. In order to achieve the best results, we highly recommend that the user choose excellent-quality applicators when applying this product.  It is also recommended that a lambswool bonnet be used to apply polyurethane on wood floors.

Storage:

Be certain that the groove on the top of the can is clean before inserting the lid on the container. Protect the product from freezing. If frozen, this product will not return to its original condition and is no longer usable. This product should be stored in a dry environment where temperature should exceed 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
